The new LEV systems consisted of ten extraction canopies strategically located to remove the heat, fume and vapours generated by the ceramics testing process. A corrosion resistant PVC fume cupboard enclosure was also installed to remove to safely remove fumes and vapours from the acid treatment process. A duct was connected to an analyst machine to remove fumes from within.
We installed a new ducting system manufactured from mild steel galvanised spiral and a various centrifugal fans to manage the heat removed. The fan outlet was fitted with a 250mm diameter vertical discharge duct which terminates via a high velocity cowl above the roof of the building.
Upon completion of the installation the system was commissioned by one of our P601/P604 certified technicians and full report/documentation issued in line with HSG 258- Controlling airborne Contaminants at Work.
