The Challenge
A world-leading engineering company contacted Impact to assess ventilation requirements to control solvent vapours produced during the application of bonding substances to metal parts within an existing enclosure.

Our Solution
- Installed a new ducted LEV system using galvanised spiral wound ducting.
 - Fitted a 1.1kW fan with spark-minimising features above the bonding area.
 - Added an external discharge stack with a high-velocity cowl to safely disperse solvent vapours above the building roofline.

The Result
The system was commissioned in line with HSG 258 “Controlling Airborne Contaminants at Work”, providing safe and effective extraction of solvent vapours.
