Client Overview
A jewellery display manufacturer based in Leicester contacted us for support with improving their fume control. Their existing spray booth was old, wooden, and not designed to effectively extract the solvent fumes generated during the glueing process.
Our Solution
Impact removed the existing booth and installed a modern, efficient solvent fume extraction system to protect employees applying glue both by hand and in the spray booth.
Four LGF extraction arms were fitted to the workbench, providing flexibility so workers could position them close to the source of solvent fumes for optimum capture.
Two BZ spray extraction benches were installed to replace the old booth. These benches provide effective protection, extracting fumes through a Z-line filter before discharging filtered air safely outside the building.
The installation was completed in line with HSG258 guidance, and the customer received a comprehensive LEV commissioning report, providing a benchmark for future LEV thorough examination and testing.
